Our faculty advisor is Dr. Joseph Nathan, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences at LIU.  He practices at the International Drug Information Center in the Health Sciences Building.

OFFICER DUTIES:

(1) PRESIDENT-ELECT: The President-elect shall assume the responsibilities of the President in his or her absence or incapacity, and shall succeed to the office of the President upon completing the term as President-Elect. He/she shall be assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the President. MUST BE A 3RD YEAR STUDENT at the time of election.

(2) VICE-PRESIDENT: The Vice-president shall serve as a member of each student society committee. The Vice-President shall be assigned additional duties and responsibilities by the President, consistent with the needs of the student society. MUST BE A 3RD OR 4TH YEAR STUDENT at the time of election.


(3) SECRETARY: The Secretary shall maintain accurate society business records.  The Secretary shall forward pertinent student society information to the state society, the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum, Student Activities, and SGA on a regular basis, and will also be responsible for the chapter's correspondence. MUST BE A 3RD OR 4TH YEAR STUDENT at the time of election.


(4) TREASURER: The Treasurer shall maintain an accurate record of the chapter's income and expenditures. He/she shall help the President prepare the budget kit proposal to SGA to get funds for the organization. Signatures of the Faculty Adviser, the Treasurer, and the President shall be required to negotiate the society's checks. MUST BE A 3RD OR 4TH YEAR STUDENT at the time of election.


(5) PUBLICITY OFFICER:  shall be in charge of updating the chapter website, keeping the chapter photo album, creating, printing and posting fliers (after getting approval from SGA), making announcements regarding events to classes or assuring that class presidents make those announcements.  MUST BE A 3RD OR 4TH YEAR STUDENT at the time of election.
